Welcome to our 3rd episode of SRGO Idol!
Last week, we saw Pink once again give the performance of the night, with Taylor, Ben, and Axl all falling to the Bottom. Sadly, Taylor had to leave us. And we have our third and final judge joining us this week, Crazy James!!!
But tonight is sure to give us some spectacluar performances, cause this week, we are taking a look at the totally rad 80's. Who will rise to the occasion, and who will fall to the bottom?
So let's get started. First up is Yulia.
Judge Christian: This has EASILY been your best week! Much better selection than the last two weeks, you sounded great! And you totally left your comfort zone, and I could tell you are having fun. Great job!
Judge Casey: Girl that was a great job! 100 time better then your last 2 weeks! I loved how you put your own style into it! Great job!
Judge James : This is by FAR your best performance of the game. You worked with your style and impressed with your stepped up performance, but the only question I have is if you'll be able to keep doing this good each and every week.
Now it is Alexandra Burke's turn to show us what she's got.
Judge Christian: Good job, nice powerful ballad, which is your strong point. You did good, even great. I expect to see you here next week.
Judge Casey: I agree with Christian, You did good on the verge of great. I have a feeling you'll be in this week to!
Judge James : I don't think this is your best performance, but I agree with Christian and Casey that it is good enough to move you to next week.
Now it is Kristy Lee Cook's turn.
Judge Christian: Great job! You did really well, a song outside of your comfort zone, but not wacky or zaney. Really good job! If the show continues at this rate, SRGO is gonna have a real tough choice to make.
Judge Casey: I think it was a clean performance. Out of your comfort zone which I give you a plus. You guys are really bringing it tonight and Im proud!
Judge James : I think you've done just about on par each week up until now. I think this was a great song to go with that wasn't too far out of your confort zone, but wasn't too safe either. You keep getting better and better each week.
Now Tim McIlrath will strut his stuff.
Judge Christian: You did good, but compared to the other 3 in front of you, it is nothing amazing. I think this week is gonna be a bad week to just fade into the background, and I think you all ready have for this week.
Judge Casey: I thought it was different for you but like Christian said, You got beat by the ladies tonight. I hope it doesnt hurt you though.
Judge James : You got beat HARD tonight. I think this is your worst performance yet. If when voting, voters take into consideration your past performances, you might squeeze through, but this looks like a Bottom 3 performance of the night for me.
Let's see if John Mayer can do any better.
Judge Christian: You did good, because you have a great voice. However, I feel you had the same problem as Tim. This week, the song you choose just wasn't quite right to show of your vocal talents. If you survive past this week, your gonna have to step up your song choice like you have in the past weeks.
Judge Casey: One of my favorite Billy Joel songs next to Piano Man, I think you did a good job! This was a good choice! I thought it was just a little bit safe for you.
Judge James : You guys just haven't stepped it up yet tonight. These girls are beating you down hard and you need to work a lot harder if you survive this week. Maybe you should go back to something more within your style, then try moving out of your comfort zone again, because this was WAY too far out, and the risk just didn't pay off for you
Can Kevin Rudolf prove to be the uplift the guys need?
Judge Christian: Much much much better this week than last. I feel this song fits your style more, and you sounded much better too. Keep this up, and you could go a long way in this competition.
Judge Casey: The song fits the style. I enjoyed it and I hope SRGO enjoyed it to cause I think your safe fer sure!
Judge James : This song was SO MUCH better then last week's. You've been the first guy to step it up tonight and I would be absolutely shocked if you went home this week.
Will Pink's performance match her first 2 weeks?
Judge Christian: WHEN WILL YOU STOP? You pick the most perfect songs for your voice every week. Yeah, this week the song was more your style, and we like to see outside the comfort zone, but the last 2 weeks you did complete opposites of you, and made them sound great. But you really need to becareful now. You are on such a high peadstal that if you fall, you are gonna fall HARD.
Judge Casey: Girl! You never cease to amaze! Honestly, I can say your one of the best right now! Your song choice is so precise and you pick a song that fits you PERFECTLY! Great job!
Judge James : You just like blowing the hair off of our heads don't you? ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! I think that this is the best performance so far tonight.
Can Katherine McPhee compare to the all the other ladies tonight?
Judge Christian: It is always hard to do a Whitney song, and you did good. However, I still have her voice in the back of my head, and it overpowers yours. Good job, but could have been better.
Judge Casey: This is my #2 favorite 80s song ever! I loved that you took a risk and I think it helped you tonight. Like christian said, I think everyone was reminded of Mrs.Houston herself but I really liked it. Way to go Mcphee!
Judge James : I mean, I think you could have picked a better song this week, but your voice kind of worked with this one. I agree with Chrsitian and casey, its a tough song to perform but there are others just as hard that would have possibly worked better. I think you might be safe this week
How will Axl Rose close out the night?
Judge Christian: Another safe song, all though you did bring a new element to the song. I liked it, but I am not sure how SRGO is going to react to it. doing songs in your safe zone over and over will only get you so far in the competition, no matter how good they are.
Judge Casey: I have to go with Christian on this. Way to safe. I really want you to take the judges comments and use them to improve. Like last week, Taylor overused the comments and thats what sent him home. I dont want that to happen again because Taylor was a great performer and he only got 1 shot!
Judge James : I think you played this week way to safe You have the ability to take risks in this game and I think you just stuck with something you thought that might just barely get you through this week and based on some other's upped performances tonight, you may not be as safe as you thought.
Now for Immunity....
for the first time, the Judges actually had to talk about who to give it to, and it came down to 3 contestants.
Yulia, Pink, and Kevin!
One of you is safe from elimination. That person is...
PINK!!!
Once again, out on top.
Now onto voting. You may have noticed Ben Folds did not submit, therefore he is OUT!
Instead of eliminating someone else this week, the Week 3 and Week 4 votes will be combined to eliminate someone NEXT week.
And you may be thinking, well, Pink is getting shafted. However, she WILL be Immune next week as long as she submit's on time. And next week, someone else will also get Immunity, so TWO people will be Immune!
You may choose up to 3 contestants to vote for. You have until Wendnsday, Feburary 26th to cast your vote, NO MATTER WHAT THE POLL SAYS! I WILL LOCK IT TOMMORW AT 8:00 EST!!!!
Rehearsal 4 will be up right after that, and those will also have some special instructions since I will be away this weekend.
Trust me, you will be thanking me for this. Week 4 is gonna be the hardest week of the whole competition
