Hello everyone to Show #5!!!! This week, Judge James can not be with us, but should be back any day now!
This week, our contestants were faced with anoother hard week- Country Music week!
So let's start off the show with Kristy singing Gun Powder and Lead.
Judge Christian: Finally! I think this was a GREAT song choice for you. Awesome job mixing up the tempo, great way to start the show.
Judge Casey: Girl I thought you hit it out of the park tonight! It was so clean! I think you really stepped it up this week. Good luck girl!
Now up is John singing God bless this Broken Road
Judge Christian: Good job, very nice song choice. But you really haven't WOW'd me yet. Nice job, and hopefully we will see you next week.
Judge Casey: I think you did a great job! You said you arnt a country singer and we know that and we take that stuff into consideration. But this being one of you favorites, I think it gave you a definite edge knowing what you were gonna do! Good job!
Now it is Tim's turn to take the stage with Hurt.
Judge Christian: I honestly did not like it. It was more of song choice for me. You could have challenged yourself much more with a better song. It did not work out for me this week.
Judge Casey: I liked that you wanted to challenge yourself this week and I respect that you want to do that but It think it was to big of a risk and it slipped away. You did good but it didnt wow me.
Now Alexandra will be singing That Don't Impress me That Much
Judge Christian: I think you did a good job, but it did not do anything for me, honestly. You did good, but I feel your performance was a bit boring.
Judge Casey: Im a little split this week. You've been very consistant but then we were saying your to ballad and you proved you arnt with this but...You didnt give the judges a good enough reason to why you chose this song...Just cause its not a ballad isnt good enough. We want it to be from your soul. Not just your personality. But overall, very good job.
Next up is Pink singing Red Neck Woman.
Judge Christian: I think you did a great job, but nothing spectacular. Hopefully next week we will see some of your WOW performaces again.
Judge Casey: For the first time, Im just a little dissappointed. I thought you could have done abit better with the song. I just dont see you doing country music though cause everyone loves you doing rock. Its really hard for me to get through my head but I liked the performance. Just thought you could have chosen better
Now it is Yulia's turn to take the stage with Jolene.
Judge Christian: I think you nailed your song choice again. it was really great, on the verge of WOW-ing me. In my opinion, best so far.
Judge Casey: Yulia, I think your really stepping up and it shows. I think this time, You chose a song that fit you alot better and it might just keep you safe. I thought it was a good performance.
Finally Katherine Mcphee will sing When You Say Nothing At All.
Judge Christian: You did good, but nothing really great amazing. I feel this week has been really lack luster.
Judge Casey: I liked your reason for choosing the song which if 50% of what Im basing the immunity on for my choice and I think you had a good performance. The vocals werent pitchy and I think it had the crowd feelin good. Nice job Mcphee.

I chose this song for 2 reasons, the first is that I feel johny cash is an amazing songwriter and even though he didnt write this song originally, I feel his cover of the song was a perfect representation of his rock and roll life style and how it effected him, its dark, and depressing yet it also leaves the audience with a feeling of relaxation and acceptance
