Hey guys!
I just wrote a poem for my Honors English Class that corelates to the Literacy we have this week and I got in to this poem contest where you could win $1000 scholarship to any college you want... so I want you guys to read it and tell me what you think... thanks!!!

In a luminous night
The song of a child appears and then dwindles
Far, far away
At the end of the summer
We saw it in our spot at the park
I am certain that you are there…
Somewhere up above in that exquisite sky
Do you remember when we snuck away together?
Do you still recall the constellation we found?
As the fireworks burst open
Your familiar scent comes back
I follow all these memories
I just want to fill my happiness again…
Even though I know we can not be together
I want to go to where you are right now
I want to fly and soar through the sky so I can go to you
And even though I know that it is scary, I will be fine
The innumerable stars are right here with me now
As they have always been
Tonight I will not cry…
Because this was the exquisite sky that I gazed upon with you so long ago
I can still hear the echoes
The echoes of your footsteps down that street
I can still grasp the emptiness as I look at my grown-up shadow
Those agonizing feelings still swell in my eyes
Nothing should have changed at all
No matter how much I think about it…
You are not here next to me anymore
I want to go
I want to be at your side
Even though you are just one tiny star in that exquisite sky
Because I love you the most, I will be strong
I gently whispered a wish to a shooting star
But tonight, I will not cry…
Because I am sure that my wish will reach up to that exquisite sky
I want to be where you are
I want to hold tight to those hands of yours
I want to cry because this is really such an exquisite sky
But tonight, I want to cry
Because tonight, my thoughts will not reach up to that sky
Not to this sky…
