Is it worth being stressed out just to do college in 3 years? Yes, it is better money wise, especially if you live there, but will you be prepared enough for the real world, and will you have enough of the "college experience?" I was inspired to start this thread by this story which I found on the proboard support general thread abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=8080877

Hell my highschool gives me plenty of "Life Experience" we are considerd to be one of the worst schools in the state and have the 3rd worst drop out rate and im pretty sure were high up on the pregnency scale too lol. My best friend is acually pregnant and shes 16. We hav had bomb threats, stabbings ect so i dont think u need to go to college to get life experience but i think u shouldnt pressure yourself into getting it done in 3 years because those are your last few years b4 u have to enter the "real world" there is plenty of pressure there and u should enjoy the last little bit of time u have

My Opinion on this matter is that everyone is different, thats why there are 2 year/3 year/4 year and so on colleges/university's. Some people may be lost and need to have a long college experience, while other know that they are sick of school but need some college and only go for 2 years.

I only want to do 2 or 3 years, but I don't know if I will as I am so sick of school at this point. The only reason I go is to see my friends lol.

Well it is harder to find a job if you do not go to college unless you go to a technical high school or something. As Renny said, it is true that everyone is different. I just found it interesting about 3 year colleges, because I have never heard of them. The thing that makes them different from 2 year colleges is that 2 year ones have half as many credits as 4 year ones, but the 3 year ones that are talked about in this article has the same amount of credits as 4 year ones, but squished into 3 years instead of 4.
