Back Story[/b]
I, Dr. Carlisle Cullen, was born in the 1640s... but I am still around today. Why? Because I am an immortal, a vampire. I am the leader of the Olympic Coven, which includes my wife Esme, and my five adoptive children: Edward, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice and Jasper. My family and I like to call ourselves "vegtarians" as we do not feed on human blood; but rather feed on animal blood.

Three of my adoptive children have other special abilities that are more than the normal vampire abilities. They are not the only vampires who are "born" with these special gifts -- there are others out there. And I want to find out more about them, how their previous life affected their vampire life.

I believe that these special abilities are brought along from their human life, and manifested into something much more powerful in their immortal state. I would like to think that I brought along my compassion, and that is my special gift to the vampire world.

So I have contacted 16 vampires that I know, each with a special ability. And I brought them to my home in Forks, Washington. Each week I will study their strengths, weaknesses, etc. by having them "compete"--if you will--in two types of challenges. Each week, one member will be exiled. Which in the end will leave us with possibly the most powerful vampire of all time...
