Things are starting to pick up. That last immunity challenge was pretty interesting, because now people are concerned with who's got which item, and since we lost the challenge we've not got to vote out the first (quasi-)active person from the game.
Unless something nutty happens (as frequently does happen on Survivor), Kevin will be the one going home. I'm not making my vote official just yet because I have yet to hear back from Renny, but unless she makes a case to really mix things up, it's 100% Kevin. Kevin's just now starting to become active in the game, but at this point it's too little too late and the people I want around are people that I already have some kind of relationship with. kdub (Ozzy) has been talking with Kevin, trying to see if he won something in the last challenge. kdub's kind of worried that it could screw up our attempt to vote Kevin out, but like I said to him, unless Kevin won a Hidden Immunity Idol (or something similar) in one of the Mystery Boxes and plays it, then there's no power he could have that could save him.
I feel like I'm starting to get a much clearer idea of where everybody stands within the tribe. The core group of the tribe is starting to emerge (though nothing's official yet): myself, Renny, Jigsaw, Terry and kdub. I don't know much about Britney and pretty much don't care, because she'll most likely be the next to go after Kevin if we have to go to another TC. I've always felt that Renny and I would be decent natural allies. At this point, I think I've got kdub pretty much wrapped around my little finger... he basically comes to me asking what he should do in any given situation, which is just fine by me. ;D Jigsaw's still a bit of an enigma to me, but he seems like a pretty smart guy that I could reason with. Terry's the most interesting of the bunch, as far as I'm concerned. He was eager to want to help me in the Dare challenge if I had needed it/he had been allowed to help, and he outright told me in PM that he thought I was the most valuable tribe member right now and that the tribe would be screwed if I had to leave the game. I don't know how I feel about that... I like that he considers me important as a tribe member, because that could keep me safe until the merge, but it also means that he recognizes that I'm a big threat post-merge. Also, I thought the pre-TC message he sent me this time around was kind of interesting. In these kinds of messages, most people go out of their way to be really polite and understanding... saying stuff like "what do you think?" and "is that OK with you?". Terry just outright told me that he was voting for Kevin and to spread the word. I didn't really care this time around because I was already circling the wagons to boot Kevin anyway, but it tells me that Terry thinks he's in a fairly powerful position. Definitely something to keep an eye on.
After this vote (and barring something crazy happening at TC), I'd like to try to solidify an iron-clad alliance over the next few days. Ideally, I'd like to put together a group of five consisting of the five people I mentioned earlier (me, Renny, Terry, Jigsaw and kdub). I'm not sure who I want to go to with the idea first. If it were solely up to me, I'd probably approach Renny first, but I'm slightly concerned that one of the other people will be hesitant to align with her. At this point, I'll probably go to either Terry or Jigsaw to get the ball rolling. I'm already playing this game stronger than I had anticipated, so I'd really like to get myself on solid strategic footing as quickly as possible. I sense that there's a little bit of mystery about me because I'm new to SRGO. Hopefully that will work to my advantage. Should be interesting days ahead.
