When regerstering I lied about the year I was born,
didn't know if this was one of those get your parents permission sites
I'm actually 17 born in 1991 so yeah
im to lazy to change profile info but just so theres no confusion that no one has felt im not 23 years old and in High school
thats all I gotta say right now

Ok well the Olympic closing ceremony is in 15 minutes and I thought Id write down a few thoughts I had about the games
First of all every thing I say is in regards to the Australians media coverage of the games and not where your from so if I mention a huge controversy and you never heard of it your not out of the loop, your country is, as I am also sure being in Australia has left out some stories as well.
My first comment is on the opening ceremony controversy involving the fake fireworks and the lip singing little girl.
The fireworks were obviously fake as if you look closely they weren't launching of anything and well they looked like a cartoon so that was no big deal and as for the little girl, who really cares. Im sure it was devastating for that one girl to be told your not cute enough (personally she seemed ok in the cute little girl area without being creepy) but in the end we still saw a cute little girl semi perform and look cute and make everyone go awwww, point being you got satisfaction from viewing it. It was a show its supposed to be fake glitter and gold.
the next thing I wanted to mention is BMX in the Olympics, personally I thought it was great. It seems in recent years the Olympic comity is trying to grab a new young audience with extreme sports i.e. Bmx and half pipe snowboarding which left me wondering where was the skate boarding half pipe. Skate boarding has always seemed to be way more popular then BMX and has a larger audience so why wasn't it included. Anyways I really hope to see more extreme sports in the Olympics because after all whats more interesting

My last point is on the coverage as a whole, In Australia all the focus was on purely Australian athletes which was cool I guess but it also meant non stop swimming and virtually nothing else. Yes there was rowing as well but come on I wanted to see fencing and the US basketball team as well. and they were inconsistent in the swimming as well, only one Phelps medal I saw one.
Also for some odd reason handball was shown, and what a boring European game. It is unique but boring.
anyways its 9:59 and the ceremony is about to start so thank you China for Entertaining the world for two weeks as I am off to watch

Well had school Capitans speech today and I nailed it.
Should be either vice or top Capitan, but I don't want to jinx it.
