Day 03
Pagong Tribe Richard (confessional):We just lost immunity yesterday which sucks because I really wanted to establish myself into this tribe first before any of the politics and backstabbing begins because quite frankly, there are a few people that are gunning for me at this point. I know that, everybody knows that and I think even the other tribe knows that.
<Kelly and Ramona are seated around the fire as they are whispering about the vote>
Kelly: I think it would be best if Richard goes tonight. I mean, I have this feeling that he's going to be targetting one of the women.
Ramona: I totally agree. He would write one of our names down faster than he could even say his own name. That guy has been gunning for us since day one, its ridiculous.
Kelly: And I do think that Susan's going to be in this. She's getting really tired of Richard herself.
Ramona: She is? That's good to hear.
Kelly: All we have to do is to Stacey and maybe Sean or Rudy.
Ramona: Stacey's not going to budge. She refuses to talk about the vote at any way.
Kelly: No way.
Kelly (confessional): I think tonight's Tribal Council will be very interesting because there are a couple of people who are starting to play the game this early. Ramona and myself have formed this sort of friendship and understanding that we would look out for each other and take each other as far as we possibly could.
<The scene cuts to Stacey, Susan and Sean by the riverbed>
Sean: So, what's going on?
Stacey: I don't really know. I wish I know because it would be so much easier but there hasn't been like a clear consensus on who's going.
Susan: Richard just actually approached me a few minutes ago and told me that he and Rudy are voting for Sonja.
Stacey: Because of her fall?
Susan: Yeah.
Sean: Well that makes sense considering that she was the one who cost us immunity.
Stacey: So are we going to vote for her?
Sean: Maybe. If Rudy and Richard are really voting for them, we have five votes right now.
Susan: What's Sonja's stand in this?
Stacey: I don't know. She seems to be a little distant for the past three days. I barely know her.
Stacey (confessional): Sonja has been keeping to herself a lot lately. She has been always inside the shelter or by the fire, or somewhere else in the jungle that I have no idea what she's doing out there. I could tell that she's a nice woman but you know, maybe she's not that much of a team player.
<Cuts to Stacey approaching Sonja by the shelter>
Stacey: Okay, here's the thing. The vote is going for you. And I think its really going to be beneficial for you if you vote the same way I do.
Sonja: Really?
Stacey: <nods> And I don't want you to leave out of the loop or anything but I do think you're a cool chick and us women need to stick together, you know what I mean?
Sonja: That's where you lost me. You're talking about this whole women thing but you're going to vote out me tonight?
Stacey: I'm not! Everyone else is planning on it, though, we have to do some talking.
Sonja: Hmm, who do you think we need to get out then?
Stacey: Honestly, Richard is a bit of an annoying ass, I don't like him much. Sonja, this could be an excellent oppurtunity.
Sonja: I'm just looking into the future here. I mean, Ramona has been talking about getting rid of Richard first. If we could get him out, us four girls could take this all the way to the end.
Stacey: Exactly! This is perfect.
Stacey (confessional):I was all set in voting out Richard tonight. I'm absolutely certain he's leaving tonight, if he doesn't things are going to get messed up, quick.
Tribal Council - Night 03
[/size]
<Eight people are walking in Tribal Council as Jeff Probst was standing on the opposite side of the bonfire. The eight Survivors each took one of the eight seats available>
Jeff Probst: Behind each of you is a torch. I want you to grab a torch and approach the flame.
<Each Survivor did as instructed>
Jeff Probst:We are doing a ritual here in Tribal Council as fire represents your life. Once your fire is out, so are you. <Everybody lights up their torches and takes a seat with Jeff taking his afterwards> Well. Welcome to Tribal Council. Richard, it must be tough to lose this early in the game.
Richard: Oh definitely. It sucks to lose at anything Jeff but to lose the very first challenge, its tough mentally. It sort of gets to you that 'wow, your tribe would vote the first member out of Survivor'. Its very unnerving.
Jeff Probst: Going back to the challenge, Sonja, you took probably the hardest fall out of everybody.
Sonja: Well you don't have to remind all of them that Jeff. <laughs>
Jeff Probst: I'm just looking this from an outsider's perspective but do you think that its fair for them to vote you out?
Sonja: You know what Jeff? I think its not fair. <Jeff was about to say something but Sonja raised her hand> And I would like to say that I'm not the most physical person in this tribe but I have the heart and soul and that's going to keep this tribe stronger as well.
Jeff Probst: So you still think that you're an asset to this tribe?
Sonja: Definitely. Everybody's an asset to this tribe. Its not fair for somebody to say that hey, she's weak, let's vote her out. No. This game isn't always about challenges after all.
Jeff Probst: Stacey. Hearing what Sonja just said, do you think her assessment is fair considering that she was the one who cost you guys the win?
Stacey: Maybe. You have to look at it all sides of the equation. Maybe there is point to what Sonja is saying but at the same time this is the first council, you only have three days to get to know these people and well, you don't have much anything to go for.
Sonja: I definitely disagree. I came into this game knowing I won't be the strongest physically. But I held up with all of the workload back in camp. I hauled my ass helping with the shelter, collecting palm fronds, collecting water, wood.
Stacey: And I am totally happy that you did but come on Sonja, like I said, we don't have much to go for in the span of three days.
Sonja: So I'm going to be voted out because of that?
Richard:Because its your own damn fault that we lost the immunity challenge. You messed up, boohoo, end of story!
<Sonja shakes her head as she tries to fight back tears>
Jeff Probst: Susan. Do you think its fair for Sonja to get all the heat?
Susan:<pause> No. I don't think so. So she took a fall, big deal. If its somebody like maybe Sean or Richard who took the fall, it wouldn't be brought up here now.
Jeff Probst: So you think its more of a since Sonja is a woman?
Susan: Maybe, maybe not. People are just on edge these past few hours of the day, its ridiculous. It really is.
Jeff Probst: At any rate, you guys will be voting out the first person out of the game. It is time to vote. Kelly, you're up first.
<Kelly stands up and heads over to the voting podium. She uncaps the pen and writes a name down. The camera pans and cuts to Sonja writing down 'Robert' on the parchment>
Sonja: You're voting for me, I'm voting for you. Let's see how this all works out.
<The camera cuts to Richard looking focused as it fades to Sean placing his vote inside the urn. The camera cuts to Rudy as he was writing a name down on the parchment and it cuts again to Richard holding up his vote for 'Sonja'>
Robert:You don't like me, I don't really have that much love for you but this is all in the context of the game. Maybe outside we could be friends. <Places his vote in the urn> Maybe not. I'm hoping for the latter.
<Stacey is shown writing down a name as the camera cuts to Ramona walking back to her seat. The camera fades to Susan placing her vote into the urn and cuts to her taking a seat>
Jeff Probst: I'll go tally the votes.
<Jeff leaves to get the urn as the tribe is shown. Richard is looking down as the camera pans over to Sonja who was looking very nervous. The camera then moves over to Stacey as it cuts back to Jeff who was placing the urn down>
Jeff Probst: Once the votes are read, the decision is final. Person voted out will be asked to leave Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes. <He pulls out the first vote> First vote, <flips it over>
Richard. <Robert nods his head>
Jeff Probst: <pulls out the second vote and flips it over>
Sonja. 1 vote Sonja, 1 vote Richard.
<Betty looks over towards Robert>
Jeff Probst: <pulls the third vote out and pauses a bit before revealing>
Sonja. 2 votes Sonja.
<Sonja closes her eyes for a bit as Jeff pulls out the fourth vote>
Jeff Probst:
Richard. We're tied, 2 votes Sonja, 2 votes Richard.
<Richard is shown shaking his head as the camera cuts to Stacey who was looking stoic>
Jeff Probst: <pulls out the fifth vote>
Richard. <Richard looks surprised as he looks over to his tribemates who was refusing to look at him>
Jeff Probst: <pulls out the sixth vote>
Richard. 4 votes Richard, 2 votes Sonja.
<Richardis shown looking frustrated as he shakes his head>
Jeff Probst:<pulls out the seventh vote> First person voted out of Survivor. <flips the vote over>
Richard. Richard, I need you to bring me your torch.
<Richard stands up and grabs his torch. He walks over to Jeff and places the torch in its spot>
Jeff Probst: Richard, the tribe has spoken. <Jeff snufs out his torch> Its time for you to go.
<Richard takes one last look at the tribe and glares at them before walking out>
Jeff Probst: Based on tonight's comments and by Richard's expression alone, he didn't see this one coming. <Sean is shown nodding> You could grab your torches and head back to camp. Good night.
